March 2, 1993: A Night of DAYS

During a prime-time episode of DAYS, Sami follows her crush, Austin, to the Titan Publishing party celebrating the launch of Bella Magazine. At the party, Sami is devastated to find that Austin is already there with someone -- her own sister, Carrie. This marked the beginning of the rivalry between the two sisters over Austin Reed.

March 4, 1997: Puppet Master: When Sami pulls the strings, Salem dances!

While hospitalized and recuperating from a car accident (Austin accidentally ran her down!) a partially amnesiac Sami continues to drive a wedge between Carrie and Austin, rattle Kate and keep Lucas glued to her bedside. After Austin spends the night with Sami in the hospital (he's pretending to be Sami's loving husband) he wakes up beside her and believes he is holding Carrie. He kisses her and and says, "I love you," and the moment is witnessed by Carrie and Kate. Meanwhile, a concerned Lucas keeps both Kate and Vivian from badgering her and taking advantage of the situation.

Aug. 19, 1997: Gotcha!

Sami confronts Kate and reveals she has the upper hand on her nemesis. She goes on to explain that she knows Kate's shocking secret: socialite Kate was once a high-priced call girl. As if that weren't enough, Sami also knew that she was employing Franco to break up Bo and Hope for the sake of Billie. In the meantime Austin is contemplating leaving Carrie and marrying Sami.

July 14, 1998: War Games

Sami pulls out all stops to keep Lucas away from Will and secure her future with Franco: she antagonizes Lucas into drinking, then calls the cops on him and gets him thrown in jail for drunken driving. Though desperate to marry Sami in fear of deportation, Franco is sickened by her behavior toward Lucas and his dislike for her grows even stronger. Sami vows to bring Lucas down, despite warnings that it could destroy the friendship she has finally developed with Austin.
