MAY 22
As Soap Opera Digest reported, Brandon Beemer (ex-Shawn, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) signed on to BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL without knowing much about his character or even his name. The character finally got a name — Owen Hart — and will be connected to Donna's son, Marcus. Beemer will first air on July 2.

MAY 16
When he spoke to Soap Opera Digest, Brandon Beemer didn't know what his new role is, but he knows he's going to B&B for a major part. "It's a little strange not knowing who I'm going to play, — I would like to get prepared," admits the actor, who recently was let go as DAYS's Shawn Brady. Beemer adds, "I'm really excited about playing somebody completely different from Shawn." For more on Beemer, who will appear in July, check out the May 27 Digest, which goes on sale Tuesday.

MAY 16
Nothing like coming home and finding your mother in bed with the man you thought was your boyfriend. No, it's not an episode of JERRY SPRINGER — B&B's Phoebe walks in on Taylor and Rick. "It's shocking, horrifying and anger-inducing," says MacKenzie Mauzy (Phoebe). How do the lovers react? There's more in the May 27 issue of Soap Opera Weekly.

MAY 9
As Soap Opera Digest reported earlier, an arrest warrant was issued for Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon, B&B; ex-AJ, GH et al) for failure to appear in a progress report hearing on a DUI charge from August 2007. According to a press release from Turk Entertainment Public Relations and Productions, the actor "has done everything to comply fully with the court's requests, [and] only learned about the arrest warrant from friends who saw the television news piece." Kanan issued this statement: "I take this situation very seriously. I have been working incredibly hard on creating positive changes in my life. I would never knowingly neglect a court date nor any conditions placed on me by the court system."

Kanan stars in the upcoming thriller Jack Rio, co-written by Matthew Borlenghi (ex-Ziggy, B&B; ex-Brian, AMC). For more on the film, check out Devin Owens's blog.

MAY 2
"On the one hand, you go, 'why me?' " admits William de Vry, whose character Storm committed suicide on B&B this week. The actor tells Digest how he found out he was leaving and recounts his conversation with head honcho Brad Bell in the May 13 issue, which hits stands Tuesday. MAY 1
Big news! Another of DAYS's ex-Shawn's has landed a new gig. Soap Opera Digest has learned that Brandon Beemer, who left Salem in March, has been cast on BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL. Look for the popular actor to join the show in a new role.

APRIL 11
Rick joins forces with Taylor this week to help his new love regain custody of her baby son, Jack. (Jack is also Rick's brother. Confusing? Yup!) "He meets with some Forrester attorneys and draws up paperwork that he can hopefully get Nick to sign, saying she could basically have her child back," explains Kyle Lowder (Rick). However, the best laid plans... Pick up the April 22 issue of Weekly to see what happens.

APRIL 4
Nick continues to add more Logans to his list of lovers this week on BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. This time it's Katie who pulls her sister and niece's ex into a smooch. "There's definitely an attraction there, but Katie's squashing it as much as she possible can," says Heather Tom (Katie). Does it go any further? Hmmm. Pick up the April 15 issue of Weekly for that answer.

JANUARY
Look for B&B's Storm to depart on January 11 and he's not the only Logan out of the picture — at least for now. William de Vry tells Digest about his exit and the aha! moment when he knew Storm was Stephanie's attempted murderer and gives a hint at what might be ahead.
