Jake insisted to Angie that he couldn't see his family. He told her he was going to leave, but Angie said he wasn't going anywhere. She left his room and immediately called Tad. Meanwhile, Tad was about to tell Joe that Jake was dead when Jesse interrupted, saying Angie had called him and reported that Jake was in Pine Valley.
Amanda showed Annie the lingerie Fusion had been sent thanks to their pole dancing video. Annie told Amanda that Ryan had forgotten their anniversary. Amanda suggested Annie shouldn't be sitting around waiting for Ryan to remember; she needed to do something.
Greenlee jumped into Aidan's arms. He told them about the trip and getting Jake back home. Zach commended Aidan's efforts. Greenlee suggested they go to ConFusion to celebrate. Tad and Joe walked into Jake's room and hugged him. Jake insisted he had to get back to Africa. Joe told him he wasn't going to get the care he needed in Africa. Privately, Angie told Joe that based on his test results, Jake's health had been deteriorating for some time. Whatever was wrong with him started before he was taken hostage. Tad called Aidan and thanked him. He asked to speak to Zach, and when Aidan put him on the phone, he apologized for the way he had spoken to him earlier, and thanked him. Zach asked Tad to keep it to himself that he knows about Aidan and Kendall sleeping together, and Tad agreed. After he hung up, Zach made a toast to Aidan. Kendall talked to Ryan about love, and she reminded him that he had a great love with Annie, and the love would come back with the memories. Amanda and Annie arrived at ConFusion, and Amanda coached her on what to do. Kendall and Zach went home, and Aidan got a call, leaving Greenlee with Ryan. As they talked about Aidan, Greenlee became teary eyed, and Ryan embraced her just as Annie was about to walk over. Instead, she walked away.
At The Comeback, Robert chatted up Cassie, who excused herself to go talk to Frankie. Meanwhile, Little Adam had Cassie's elephant on the other side of the bar. Cassie told Frankie that Robert creeped her out. Robert purposely spilled something on Cassandra's bag so that he could look in it, but she came over and took it from him before he got very far. Cassie and Frankie went home as Robert looked on. To himself he said he would see them soon.
Dixie refused to leave Adam's plane. She played a movie for him of when he had her committed, and Tad rescued her. A defiant Adam told Dixie he would rather burn in hell than give Kate back to Tad.

Tad discussed his search for Kate with Krystal. Krystal pointed out that Kate probably had parents — the only parents she has ever known. Tad got angry, and said it didn't matter — she had a family there in Pine Valley. When he found her, wasn't going to walk away. Just then, Tad got a call about Kate. A friend was sending him a list of names from shady adoptions.
Ryan filled Annie in on Jake and Aidan, and then blindfolded her and took her to the stables. He told her he saw a picture in their wedding album with the date, and realized he missed their anniversary. He apologized, and wanted to make up for it with the picnic he had set up. Annie told him she couldn't pretend, and was about to leave when Ryan suddenly had a memory of her. He told her to wait.
Greenlee visited Jake. They talked about Aidan, and Jake said he was happy for her. He told her about things that went on in Darfur. He asked her to help him get out of there. She refused. After she left, Jake tried to get out of bed himself, but collapsed. Greenlee ran back in and screamed for help.
Babe dropped Little Adam off with JR, and as Dixie looked on, JR told her how much he missed his mom. Babe apologized again for not believing him, and JR told her it was okay. After she left, JR told Little A about a stuffed animal he used to have — a giraffe named Cornelius. Dixie touched the back of JR's head, and JR got a chill. He got a business call, and while he was on the phone, Dixie talked to Little A. After JR got off the phone, he asked Little A what he was looking at. He read him a book, and then sang "You Are My Sunshine" to him. Dixie joined in. JR carried Little A out as he fell asleep. Dixie cried to the heavens; her heart was breaking. When JR walked back in, his giraffe was sitting on the couch. "Mom?" he called.
Treena met Richie at The Comeback, and Richie gave her the money. Treena told him she wanted more money. Richie twisted her arm and threatened her. She quickly left, but not before Babe saw her. Babe confronted Richie again, and he finally showed her the side of himself Annie had been telling her about. Babe told him she knew he had set JR up. He told her to prove it, and quickly stalked out.

Jack ran into Kendall and Zach at the prison. They were there to see Erica, and Jack was meeting with Carmen. They all checked their cell phones and then were brought in. Kendall and Zach assured Erica that everything was okay with them. Erica was deeply relieved. Meanwhile, Jack tried to talk to Carmen about her case, but she was more interested in talking about his and Erica's relationship. Kendall and Zach left at the same time as Jack, and Carmen teased Erica about Jack.
Cassie looked for Mr. Trunks as Robert watched through binoculars. Angie and Jesse came home. Angie went over the wedding plans with Cassie. Cassie excused herself to go look for Mr. Trunks. After a while, Angie went to take a call, and Cassie came back in. Jesse asked to talk to her — he wanted to know what her problem was.
Ryan told Annie that he was having memories of her, but she didn't believe him until he started telling her about specific memories. She finally believed him and they made love. Afterward, Annie fell asleep, but Ryan was awake, and he seemed to be bothered by something.... Annie asked if he remembered loving her.
Aidan and Greenlee looked on while Frankie checked Jake out. He went over Jake's charts with him, and then got Aidan and Greenlee to leave. Once they were gone, Frankie asked what happened in Darfur. He could tell Jake had been though something bad. They exchanged war stories. Frankie suggested Jake let his family in. Frankie left, and Jake fell asleep, but not for long — a nightmare about Darfur woke him up.
Greenlee and Aidan talked about their wedding. Aidan brought up kids.
Greenlee didn't seem to keen on the idea.
Erica made a phone call to Kendall, or so she thought. Jack had apparently picked up Kendall's phone by accident. She spoke before he had a chance to speak, and told "Kendall" how glad she was that she and Zach were able to get past her night with Aidan, and as long as Greenlee never found out it would stay in the past. She quickly hung up and Jack stared at the phone in shock.

At Fusion, Kendall complained to Greenlee about accidentally switching phones with Jack. They talked about Erica, and then about Jake. Greenlee told Kendall that Aidan wants kids, but she doesn't. Kendall thought she meant she didn't want kids right now, but Greenlee thought she may never want kids. Kendall wondered if maybe she just didn't want to share Aidan. Greenlee realized she might be right, but said talking about it like that made her even more sure about it. Kendall said she had to tell Aidan. Babe filled Amanda in on the situation with Richie, and her suspicions that he set up JR. Amanda wanted to know what the real reason was that Babe wanted to prove JR's innocence. Babe admitted she was worried JR would go after Richie himself. Amanda wondered what her plan was, and Babe grabbed some of the trashy clothing that had been sent to the Fusion office. She came back out wearing the clothes and a wig. She told Amanda she was going to become Treena's best friend.
Aidan stopped by to see Tad, and Tad thanked him for saving Jake's life. He told him about the lead he got on finding Kate. Then they talked about Greenlee. Aidan suggested they contact the reporter who wrote the articles on the shady adoptions. When Tad Googled her name, they found an article about a car accident in which she died. Her car had been forced off the road by another car, and the other car had fled the scene.
Jesse told Cassie they both loved her mother and wanted her to be happy. Cassie admitted she was struggling with the fact that he wasn't her father. He told her he wasn't trying to replace her father, he just wanted to be friends. She told him she felt like an outsider. Jesse said he knew how that felt. All those years in hiding, he was only able to watch his family, not be a part of it. They finally seemed to hit it off. Meanwhile, Robert continued to watch, and prepared a needle full of some kind of liquid. Cassie confided that lately it seemed like her stuff had been rummaged through, but said she had probably just misplaced things. She thanked Jesse for making her mom so happy. Jesse asked her to keep him posted if she noticed anything else unusual. He headed out. A minute later there was a knock on the door, and it was Robert. He told her he was there to see her.
Colby greeted JR and Little Adam and noticed Cassandra's elephant. She picked it up and said she was going to give it back to Cassie. Adam came in when she left. He told JR he wouldn't be needing his help much longer — the worst was over. Just then Dixie appeared and Adam jumped out of his chair. He said he had to make a phone call, but JR stopped him. He wanted to know where Adam found his giraffe. Adam told JR that Dixie was haunting him. After taking Little A into the other room, JR confronted Adam. Colby rushed in as Adam ranted about Dixie being right there in the room with them. JR gave Colby a number and told her to call immediately. Then, he locked Adam alone in the room. The people JR told Colby to call showed up. They all went back into the room together, where Adam seemed to be talking to himself. JR introduced a doctor from Oak Haven. The doctor's men took him away.

Tad tried to convince Jake that he didn't want to be alone. He told him about missing for Dixie and searching for Kate, and tried to ask Jake about his life, and about Carolyn, but Jake told him he was tired. Tad finally left. He ran into Colby in the hall, who told him that Adam had been committed.
Adam woke up in Oak Haven. Dixie appeared, and wondered how it felt being in the same ward that he'd had her locked up in. He began to taunt her about Tad, and Dixie starting suffocating him with a pillow. Security guards burst in, thinking he was trying to kill himself. The doctor that came in with them thought they should up his medication dose. After Dixie left, Adam got a visitor: Tad.
Erica was surprised to get a visit from Jack. He wanted to know what happened with Kendall and Aidan. She tried to deny it, but Jack told her he picked up her phone call to Kendall. Even then she made up a story, but Jack saw right through her. Finally she admitted Aidan and Kendall slept together. Erica explained why it happened, and tried to convince Jack not to tell Greenlee.
Greenlee surprised Aidan with presents at ConFusion, but then told him they needed to talk. She admitted she didn't want children, and Aidan was taken aback. She told him there was still time for him to change his mind before the wedding. Aidan couldn't understand how she could want Ryan's baby so badly, but not his. He told her he needed time to think, and then left. Greenlee feared she'd lost him.
A man showed up at Annie's door, and he told her that Ryan's vasectomy had never been performed. Annie was thrilled to hear Ryan could still have kids. At Fusion, Ryan told Kendall he'd had a memory of Annie, of the first time they made love. He finally remembered her, but the problem was he didn't remember loving her. Annie headed to Fusion to give Ryan they good news that they could have more children, and walked in just in time to hear him and Kendall talking about whether or not he ever loved Annie.
Jesse went to see Angie at the hospital, and told her he was worried about Cassie. He told her about Cassie misplacing things, and Angie told him not to look for trouble where there was none. They were all safe. Back at home, Robert showed Cassie his drawings. She went to get him a drink and when she came back he stabbed her with the needle, and moments later she collapsed. Under hypnosis, Cassie told Robert about the elephant, but that it had been missing for days. Robert pulled out a gun and told her that she had better give him a better answer. Finally, he gave up, but he instructed her that she would wake up and not remember anything, but that she would keep searching for her elephant. Just then, there was a knock on the door.
Colby and JR told Stuart about committing Adam. Stuart admitted that Adam told him Dixie was haunting him, but he thought Adam might be right. Colby had to run, and asked Stuart if he could drop the elephant off at the Hubbards' and drop Little Adam off at Babe's.
Dixie went to the hospital and whispered in Jake's ear that Tad needed him, and if he didn't stay, he may never see his brother again.
