The daughter of Oscar-winning art director Dale Hennesy, Carolyn Hennesy was born in Los Angeles and has appeared in over 100 stage, television and film productions. Hennesy studied acting at the American Conservatory Theatre, London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and was the recipient of a dramatic scholarship at California State Universty at Northridge. With a knack for comic timing, Hennesy has a deep background in comedy, having studied with The Groundlings comedy school and performed as part of their Sunday Company. She has also performed with the ACME Comedy Theatre. For her work, Carolyn has been the winner of the Natalie Schafer Award for Outstanding Comic Actress from the Los Angeles Drama Critic Circle, the Ovation Award for her work in The Fan Maroo, and was an NAACP nominee for her work in "Uncle Tom's Cabin."
Hennesy has also had a lengthy career in television and film, appearing in such films as Legally Blonde 2 and Click. Before landing the role of Diane Miller on GENERAL HOSPITAL, Hennesy guest-starred on many sitcoms and dramas.
In addition to her highly successful acting career, Hennesy is also the author of the Pandora book series, which has become very popular with young girls. Hennesy also teaches improvisational comedy in the L.A. area.
